Well, it’s been two wonderful years that I have had the privilege of serving as vice president and then president of your Alabama Alumni and Friends Club. We have made a lot of changes that have yielded excellent results in increasing our contributions to the Scholarship Endowment, increased scholarships to local students, and increased recognition for our local chapter. These successes were rewarded by our chapter being named the Best Out-Of-State Chapter, Division II this past year.
None of this could have been accomplished without the support of many of you and of our outstanding officers. Thanks to each one for helping us realize our goals.
This next year Ron McKelvy will serve as your president and I am sure we will all support him to help us move to the next level for our club. That’s the key—widespread support. No one person can do it all. It takes all of us to be successful and realize our goals.
So, thanks again for the opportunity to serve and to make a difference.
Now, let’s go out and support our Crimson Tide to the best of our abilities.
